Our Services
Higher education in the UK is rightly considered among the most prestigious in the world. British universities combine centuries-old academic traditions, cutting-edge research and practice-oriented teaching, producing graduates in demand on the international job market.
Studying in the UK is an investment in the future: global recognition of your diploma, a high standard of teaching, a developed career infrastructure, and an international environment where lifelong professional connections are built.
UK universities can broadly be divided into three main groups:
The Russell Group
24 of the country's leading universities, recognised as global centres of science and education. These universities are known for their high academic standards, intensive research activity, and outstanding reputation. The Russell Group includes prestigious universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, the London School of Economics (LSE), University College London (UCL), Manchester, Warwick and other major universities. These universities offer a wide range of programmes - from humanities and social sciences to engineering, medicine and natural sciences. Teaching at these universities is often oriented toward research, critical thinking, and independent student work.
Prestigious universities outside the Russell Group
The UK has many prestigious universities outside the Russell Group that nonetheless have a strong academic reputation, a high standard of teaching, and good career prospects for graduates. They typically have fewer students and were founded in the late 19th or 20th century. This group includes universities such as St Andrews, Bath, Lancaster, Reading, SOAS, Royal Holloway and others.
"New" universities
The UK's "new universities" are institutions that gained university status in the 1990s. Most of them were previously polytechnics or colleges of higher education. Today they're a modern, dynamically developing part of the UK's higher-education system. These include Huddersfield, Coventry, Oxford Brookes, Bath Spa, Portsmouth and others.
These universities place emphasis on practice-oriented teaching and close ties with employers. Study programmes are designed with current job-market requirements in mind, ensuring graduates are highly competitive.
